Kindergarten - Grade 3
Our early and middle elementary students have a variety of interests and ideas. We use a variety of mediums to reach them where they are in their life. We provide something for them throughout the year. Holy Spirit strives to combine things they are experiencing in the world in which they live with what they hear from the Bible. Providing these children and their families with our Lutheran theology basics gives them an opportunity to begin understanding and exploring their faith.
K-3 Elementary Sunday School @ 9:30 am
Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade hear and experience the Word of God through Bible stories and activities that explore the Old Testament and New Testament, while following the seasons of the Christian church year. Engaging themes throughout the year help children connect the learning to their own lives, and group stories together for higher comprehension and retention. During their time together, children participate in reading/listening to a Bible passage and/or Bible story and discussing the content. We will begin in large group and then break into small groups of Kindergarten/1st grade and 2nd/3rd grade for further discussion and activities.
The program needs adults to serve as small group helpers. Volunteers support the teacher in the discussion and interact with the kids during large and small group time. All materials and directions are provided. Adults with children enrolled in the Sunday School are highly encouraged to volunteer. School service gives family members the opportunity to fulfill their baptismal promise to provide for the Christian education of their child, as well as to grow together in faith with their child.
Each year we require a new registration form for your child(ren). This helps our staff and volunteers have the most current information for your child(ren) and your updated contact information.
K-3 Elementary Sunday School leaders are volunteers and have their children in the program. For the program to run smoothly, we need 2-4 parent volunteers each week. Our volunteer sign-up is online through Sign-up Genius, via the button below. Please consider signing up for one spot every 8-10 weeks. You can also volunteer in a different age group if you prefer - visit the appropriate age section on our website. Note: Some companies will match some or all of your volunteer time with a financial donation, usually based upon your reported volunteer hours - contact your employer.
Kidz Club
Kindergarten-5th grade - Wednesdays from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Students hear and explore Bible stories and topics on Wednesday nights. This past year, we had three 6-week sessions – one in the fall, winter, and spring. Our topics help children connect the learning to their own experiences. During their time together, children participate through story, video, activities, and discussion.

K-3 K'Motion Kids
Families with children in kindergarten through 3rd grade are invited to join us for fun events, service projects, and retreats! Children enjoy spending time with other children in activities and learning. There are times that while the children are working together, the adults will be able to have discussions on topics relevant to them. During the course of the year, we provide opportunities for fellowship, service oriented projects and thought provoking learning.

Once-A-Year Classes
Our Bible Basics class is designed for children who have just entered the 2nd grade or older. They learn about the Bible and are then presented with their own Bible during worship. The class includes teaching the children how to use their bibles, a bit of how the bible is laid out, and time for them to discover some other things about their specific bible. This class will be held again in the fall of 2025.
Our Acolyte Training class is for 3rd graders and older who are interested in joining our acolyte team. You’ll learn more about what it means to be an acolyte, do a bit of practice, and ask questions. This class will be held again in the fall of 2025.
Our Communion Connections class is designed for 3rd grade students and their parents. It is an opportunity for families to learn about the sacrament of communion. Children in 4th-6th grade and their parents who have not attended in the past or would like a refresher are also welcome to attend. This class will be held again in the spring of 2025.
