Danielle Dadashi has been the Director of High School Ministries at Holy Spirit since 2010, where she is passionate about creating a loving, safe, and welcoming faith community. Her mission is to help teenagers build meaningful connections with one another and deepen their relationship with God. Alongside her role in youth ministries, Danielle also oversees the church’s online presence, including managing this website!
When she’s not at church, you’ll find Danielle traveling, reading with her cat, Dolly Parton, or spending time with her two nieces, Cora and Fia. And yes—she’s known for telling jokes that consistently make teens roll their eyes.

Chrade Younkin
Director of Music ministries
music@hslckirkland.org | ext. 240
Chrade recently lived in Indianapolis, but he is no stranger to the Pacific Northwest, having previously worked at Holy Trinity Lutheran on Mercer Island as well as Luther Memorial in Seattle. He is extremely excited, thrilled and energized to be here with us at Holy Spirit. From the moment that he turned into our parking lot on the morning of April 20, 2024 at 8:05am for his first interview, he immediately felt at home and at peace, and that he had arrived at the place he was meant to be. He also has a 13-year-old dog, Whisper, who lives up to her name and never barks!
JOAN FRIEL
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
OFFICE@HSLCKIRKLAND.ORG | EXT. 201
A lifelong Lutheran and native Washingtonian, Joan grew up in the no-stoplight town of South Bend, and attended college at Pacific Lutheran University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science with a minor in English/writing. She worked as a computer programmer for The Boeing Company after graduation, but “retired” in 1997 when she became a full-time mom to her daughter Megan and continued after her son Michael was born in 2000. After many, many years of volunteering in classrooms, attending PTA meetings, chaperoning field trips, and helping with homework, she is thrilled to have a career of her own once again. Joan’s husband Mike is also a computer programmer, working for WPAS, Inc. in Mercer Island. If you visit the church office on Fridays, you will see Joan wearing blue (go Hawks!), and she is always ready to attend a Mariners’ game. She also loves to travel, genealogy, and is a self-professed crazy cat lady. Joan is an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Issaquah.
