Christmas Eve Worship

in person at 2:00 4:00 & 8:00pm

Online at 10:00 pm

To us, to all in sorrow and fear, Emmanuel comes a-singing,
His humble song is quiet and near, yet fills the earth with its ringing;
Music to heal the broken soul and hymns of loving-kindness,
The thunder of his anthems roll, to shatter all hatred and blindness.
From ‘Awake, Awake, and Greet the New Morn’

This Advent, we have heard of anticipation and hope; of longing and revolution; of apocalypse, darkness, silence, and light. All the way through, God has called us to pay attention and keep alert, for Christ is coming, and it is our work to prepare the way.

This Christmas Eve we offer in-person and online worship opportunities. In-person worship will take place at 2:00, 4:00 & 8:00 pm in the sanctuary. The service will be streamed into the Fellowship Hall should you prefer more space. Masks are required and both spaces are equipped with commercial-grade air filters.

We have decided to cancel the in-person 10pm Christmas Eve worship service and offer a Zoom online worship at 10pm instead to provide a safe way to worship if you are staying home. This service will be accessible on Christmas Eve at 10:00, using the link below. Pastor Katy will be leading this service from her home; we will celebrate communion and invite you to light candles at your home. We will also provide a recording of this service.

End of Year Giving

Thank you to all who contribute time, talents, and treasure to support worship, ministries, and outreach of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. Together our gifts create new possibilities as God continues to call us into lives of compassion, challenge, and inclusive love for all the world. As you are able, an end-of-year gift helps Holy Spirit enter 2022 in position to continue this call. Donations made on our website or postmarked by December 31, 2021 qualify for the 2021 tax year. We give thanks for the steadfast support of this community!

We have a number of ways to participate and contribute when you are unable to attend worship in person. You can make a one-time donation, or manage ongoing giving.
