Today is the last day of Faith Squad: God’s Love Unmasked!  What an amazing week, getting to know and show God’s wonderful love.  We have been learning about real superheroes all week, both old and new.  Today we are showing the children how they too are superheroes.  In fact, they are the hope of the world and future generations.  Though Jesus fed 5,000 people with a few loaves and fishes, the inspired generosity from the boy who shared his lunch was an important piece of that miracle.

DAILY BIBLE VERSE

God loves a cheerful giver!  2 Corinthians 9:7

Faith Squad, powered by the love of God.

On the double, whenever there is trouble,

we’re the Faith Squad,

powered by the love of God.

You and me in a new identity,

we’re the Faith Squad.

FUN FACT:

There are many creative ways kids have shown generosity all around the world, from lemonade stands for charity, to running marathons to raise money to cure cancer.  Generosity can even be as simple as picking out a type of cereal to donate to the food bank bin at VBS or picking up trash at the park.  Kids are never too young to show generosity.  Even the miracle of a baby’s smile can help someone in need of its healing power.

HOPELINK FOOD AND LWR SCHOOL SUPPLIES DONATION DRIVE

We are accepting donations of non-perishable food items to go to Hopelink, a local food bank that serves families in our community. We are also collecting school supplies this year, which will be distributed by Lutheran World Relief to families with elementary students who are in financial need. Please bring your donations any time before the end of the month!

DON’T FORGET YOUR CHILD’S ART & SCIENCE PROJECTS!

When you return to pick up your child, please check the tables for your child’s art and science projects. All leftover projects will be recycled at the end of the month.
